Covid-19 Practice
With changes to the Queensland Government Restrictions, we are able to open the doors with face-to-face consultations.
The new exception for Spas and Massage Parlours are:
“Massage therapy for the management or prevention of a disease, injury or condition, provided by a qualified massage therapist, with social distancing observed to the extent possible.”
Qualified massage therapist means a massage therapist who:
* Holds a relevant qualification (minimum AQF level 5 (Diploma)) under the Australian Qualifications Framework;
Example – Diploma of Remedial Massage or Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy)
* Is a member of a professional organisation within the meaning of section 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2011 (Cwlth); and
* Holds approved provider status with one or more private health funds.
I qualify all aspects as per above and this is only in regards to Remedial Massage treatments to be available. I have also completed COV19 Certification - 2nd April, 2020 (pic attached)
Social distancing rules still apply and only 1 person to be in the waitiing area at all times. Obviously it will be difficult to maintain the 1.5m (2 arms length) distance and also the there will be physical contact. Please note that it will be necessary to have only 1 person in the treatment room and all others will be required to wait outside.
There will be 30 mins between patients to allow for the cleaning of all high touch surfaces to be disinfected. Please do not arrive more than 5 mins before your appointment to allow me time to clean, replace linens and observe the extremely high Infection Control Policy. You will be requested to wait in the waiting area until i am finished.
Hand sanitiser is available for clients and it is requested that when you arrive you santise your hands on arrival and observe basic hygiene standards.
The shorter 30min online consultation are still available if you wish to reduce your risk of exposure.
Obviously there are high risk clients that need to look at making an appointment.
*Those that have travelled within 14 days of their appointment.
*Immune compromised system patients.
*Those with cold/flu like symptoms
*Those who have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or diagnosed themselves
*Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50 years and older with one or more chronic medical conditions
*People 65 years and older

Please feel free to text or ring 0407 124 815 and discuss any aspect of the above.
So, the online diary will be available to book as from Monday 27th April. Please message with your preferred appointment.

Please note - There is a screening document to be completed and signed prior to entering the clinic. This will be done each and every visit until advised otherwise by Qld Govt.
